The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi-NCR for October 6. During this period, heavy rain, thunderstorms, and b winds are expected throughout the day. This is anticipated to bring relief from the humid heat. Light rain with thunder and lightning may also occur in some places on October 5.

Weather Update: The weather in Delhi-NCR is set to change again. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for October 6. On this day, rainfall is expected for the entire 24 hours, accompanied by b winds and thunderstorms. This weather change will lead to a drop in temperature, providing significant relief from the humid heat. Light to moderate rain is expected to begin in the morning and continue intermittently throughout the day.

Weather Conditions in Delhi-NCR

In Delhi and NCR, light rain may start from Saturday morning and continue intermittently throughout the day. According to the yellow alert, on October 6, the maximum temperature could be 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature 22 degrees Celsius. The rain, accompanied by b winds and thunderstorms, will lead to a drop in temperature and bring relief from the humid heat.

The Meteorological Department predicts that NCR will remain cloudy with a possibility of moderate rain on October 7. On October 8, it will be partly cloudy, and on October 9, the weather will be mainly clear.

Rainfall in Other North Indian States

Several parts of North India, including UP, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana, and Rajasthan, are also likely to experience rain from Sunday, October 6. These states may witness b winds and cloudy skies. According to weather experts, this rainfall is due to seasonal changes and the activation of a Western Disturbance.

Despite the monsoon's withdrawal, rainfall continues in Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy rain in all districts of the state on October 5 and 6. A yellow alert had been issued for 21 districts of Rajasthan. The rainfall, which has been ongoing for the past three days, may persist for the next three days.

Heavy Rainfall Alert in Tamil Nadu as well

The weather system is also active in South India. A heavy rain warning has been issued for 14 districts of Tamil Nadu. These include Tiruvallur, Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Villupuram, Ranipet, Vellore, Tirupattur, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, and Ramanathapuram. According to meteorologists, a seasonal system is active over the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea. 

Since October 2, a deep depression has formed over the central and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal, which is moving northwestwards and has reached near Gopalpur on the South Odisha coast.
