Fatehpur Tomb Dispute: The investigation report concerning the controversial incident of August 11 in Fatehpur has been sent to the government. This dispute arose when the tomb was described as "Thakurji Virajman Temple," and a crowd entered and performed worship, during which the tomb and mausoleums were damaged. This incident had created a sensation throughout the district, and now the 75-page investigation report sent to the government reveals lapses on the part of the police and administration.

The report was prepared by Commissioner Prayagraj Division, Vijay Vishwas Pant, and IG Ajay Kumar Mishra. This report was prepared based on inspections conducted by camping in the district for six days, old documents, sale deeds, and court orders. Both officers have concluded that the police and administration failed to prevent the dispute.

Police-Administration Lapses Exposed

The investigation report clarifies that the crowd entered the tomb, but senior officers were not present at the scene at that time. Officials only arrived after being asked about the location. According to the report, barricades were indeed put up, but no prevention occurred when the crowd gathered at Karpuri Thakur intersection. Even when the barricades were knocked down and the crowd entered the tomb, the police did not show strictness.

The report also mentions that top officials of the Math-Mandir Sanrakshan Sangharsh Samiti, VHP, and BJP were involved in summoning the crowd on August 11. This action of the crowd damaged the tomb, and its videos also went viral on social media.

Detailed Information in the Report

The Commissioner and IG have included a detailed description of the tomb located in Gata No. 753 in the report. In addition, the history of eight other surrounding gatas has also been compiled in the report. The report also includes information about the ownership of the tomb, its status as a national property, and its registration with the Uttar Pradesh Sunni Central Waqf Board.

The investigation report clarifies that the government was not made a party in any civil judge or high court lawsuit filed regarding the ownership of the tomb. Furthermore, the government never appealed against any decision. This clarifies that there were lapses in the past at the administrative level as well regarding this dispute.

Possibility of Action Against Officers and Employees

After the report was sent to the government, there has been a stir among officers and employees. It is believed that action may be taken against several police officers and administrative employees in this matter. However, no action of any kind has been confirmed from the government level until the evening. DM Ravindra Singh said that he does not have information about the report, while attempts to contact SP Anoop Singh went unanswered.
