The incident occurred in Kanpur (Maharajpur). According to reports, a dispute arose between the couple on Sunday night. In the morning, the children found their mother's body hanging from a fan hook in the room. The father's body was found within the family's compound.

The deceased couple has been identified as “Babu” (approximately 42 years old) and “Shanti” (approximately 35 years old). The couple had three children — Nitya, 6 years old; Akush, 5 years old; and Arpit, 3 years old.
Background
It has come to light that "domestic disputes" (disputes at home) occurred between the couple from time to time. Prior to this, arguments frequently occurred.
