A plan is underway to establish a four-story, 200-bed super-specialty hospital in the Nainital region. This facility will feature advanced departments including MRI, Cardiology, Dialysis, Nephrology, Neurology, and Gastroenterology, among other high-level specialties. The total projected cost for the hospital's construction is ₹72 crore.
Of this amount, ₹50 crore will be raised through municipal bonds, with an additional ₹22 crore allocated for expenses. Construction is slated to commence by the end of the current financial year. A meeting is scheduled for September 9, 2025, in Delhi, involving representatives from approximately 20 diverse companies—leading medical firms and institutions—along with the Municipal Commissioner.
During the meeting, the selected companies will also conduct an inspection of the proposed site. Following this, the tender process for the hospital will commence in the final week.
