Gen-Z users overwhelmingly prefer short video content. Their first choice includes 15-second Reels, 30-second YouTube Shorts, or Snaps. However, if content fails to capture their attention within the initial few seconds, they quickly swipe away. Memes are also extremely popular among Gen-Z. They view humorous and satirical memes on politics, society, and everyday life as smart commentary, not just jokes. The report also indicates that this generation places greater trust in authentic and peer-generated content. Real-time content created by friends or creators feels more genuine to them than branded advertisements.
