Assault over religious conversion in Abhinav Colony
According to information, seven men and two women were praying in a house in Abhinav Colony. Hindu organizations had complained about religious conversion happening in the house. When members of the organization arrived there, some unknown individuals standing outside attacked the people who were praying.
Minor injuries were sustained in the assault, and fear and tension spread among those present at the scene. Local residents immediately informed the police. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the police brought all individuals to the station for questioning.
Police Administration's Investigation Proceedings
Sendhwa City Police Station in-charge B.S. Bisen stated that a case of assault has been registered against unknown individuals based on the complaints of Vijay Dabar, Gandas, and an MP Online operator. He added that the investigation revealed that those praying were doing so of their own free will, and there was no pressure or coercion involved.
Additionally, the police recorded statements from other parties involved in the incident and local leaders. The local administration assured that legal action would be taken against the culprits and a fair investigation would be ensured, free from any pressure or political influence.
Leaders and Citizens Express Displeasure over Incident
Following the incident, local leaders from Congress and JAYS reached the police station and demanded strict action against those involved in the assault. They stated that any violation of religious freedom would not be tolerated. Meanwhile, a complaint is also being filed against BJP leaders, alleging abusive language used against a woman.
Local citizens expressed concern that such violent behavior during religious activities could escalate social tension. They appealed to the administration and police to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.
MLA Stages Protest at Police Station
Following the incident, Sendhwa MLA Montu Solanki also reached the city police station and demanded action against BJP and Hindu organizations. He alleged that the police were biased in this matter. This marks his third public protest, having recently demonstrated over the alleged wrong treatment of an elderly tribal person at a private hospital.
