UP Launches Varanasi-Gaya Bus Service for Pilgrims

The Uttar Pradesh government has launched a special bus service from Varanasi to Gaya Ji. The bus will depart from Varanasi station at 8 PM and reach Gaya Ji at 4 AM. This bus service, available seven days a week, has a fare of ₹465. This service will provide special convenience to devotees performing Pind Daan and Tarpan.

Lucknow: A special bus service from Varanasi to Gaya Ji has been initiated in Uttar Pradesh, designed to cater to the convenience of devotees and other travelers, operating seven days a week. The bus will depart from Varanasi station at 8 PM and arrive in Gaya Ji, Bihar, at 4 AM. The fare is fixed at ₹465. This service is specifically launched for devotees performing Pind Daan and Tarpan, aiming to reduce dependence on private vehicles and save both time and expenses.

Bus Route and Travel Time

The route of this bus departing from Varanasi will be via Chandauli, Sasaram, Aurangabad, and Sherghati to Gaya Ji. Minister Dayashankar Singh stated that this route has been specially selected keeping in mind the convenience of devotees during Pitru Paksha.

The bus journey will be completely organized and punctual, ensuring both comfort and safety for devotees traveling at night. The minister said that this service will not only benefit religious travelers but also other passengers traveling on this route.

Fare of ₹465 for Passengers

The bus fare from Varanasi to Gaya Ji has been fixed at ₹465. Special attention has been paid to the convenience and safety of passengers during the long-distance journey. The bus will have comfortable seating, adequate security arrangements, and other necessary amenities for passengers.

The transport corporation has planned this service specifically to facilitate the journey of devotees going to Gaya Ji during Pitru Paksha. The minister said that this step will save people both time and money and will increase their trust in public transport.

Interstate Bus Services to Promote Tourism

The Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation has recently also started a direct interstate bus service from Lucknow to Muzaffarpur. This bus will depart from Lucknow's Alambagh bus terminal at 2 AM and reach Muzaffarpur at 4 AM the next day. The fare for this bus has been set at ₹862.

This step by the government is not only important in making religious travel convenient but will also strengthen tourism and the state's interstate transport network.
