On Tuesday, West Indies defeated Nepal by 10 wickets in the third and final T20 International match, with 46 balls to spare. In the match played in Sharjah, Nepal batted first and was bowled out for 122 runs in 19.5 overs. In reply, West Indies chased down the target without losing a wicket in just 12.2 overs to secure the win.

Nepal's Batting

In the third match, Nepal batted first and was all-out for 122 runs in 19.5 overs. Initially, Kushal Bhurtel (39) and Kushal Malla (12) provided a brisk start with a 41-run partnership. However, West Indies bowlers then delivered a precise performance. Jason Holder broke the partnership by having Malla caught by wicketkeeper Aamir Jangoo. Following this, Akeal Hosein dismissed Bhurtel, caught by Mayers, causing the innings to falter.

Ramon Simmonds played a pivotal role in curtailing Nepal's innings. Simmonds bagged four wickets for only 15 runs in 3 overs. He claimed the scalps of Nepal's captain Rohit Paudel (17), Aarif Sheikh (6), Sompal Kami (4), and Karan KC. Furthermore, Jediah Blades secured two wickets, while Akeal Hosein and Jason Holder each picked up one wicket.

Aamir Jangoo and Akeem Auguste's Explosive Batting

Chasing the target of 123 runs set by Nepal, West Indies denied Nepal's bowlers any opportunity to take wickets. The team's batsmen, Aamir Jangoo and Akeem Auguste, played explosive innings, leading their team to a dominant victory.

  • Aamir Jangoo: Unbeaten 74 runs off 45 balls, including 5 fours and 6 sixes.
  • Akeem Auguste: Unbeaten 41 runs off 29 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes.

Thanks to these two batsmen, West Indies successfully chased the target in 12.2 overs without losing any wickets, thus saving their pride with a commanding victory.
