The schedule for the Women's ODI World Cup 2025 has been revised. Matches previously scheduled to be held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru will now be held at the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

Sports News: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the new schedule for the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025. The most significant impact of this change is on India's matches. The matches previously scheduled to be played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru have now been shifted to the DY Patil Stadium in Mumbai.

This change is due to the strict security policy of the Karnataka government following the stampede incident in Bengaluru. Consequently, the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium was not granted permission to host the World Cup matches. The Women's ODI World Cup will begin on September 30, 2025, and the final will be played on November 2, 2025.

Knockout Match Schedule

A total of 8 teams are participating in the World Cup. The preliminary stage of the tournament will run from September 30 to October 26, featuring round-robin matches between all teams. This will be followed by entry into the knockout stage.

The ICC decided to change the venue of the matches due to the recent stampede incident and security concerns in Bengaluru. The aim is to ensure the safety of players, spectators, and organizers. Mumbai's DY Patil Stadium has now become the main center for India's home matches, while other matches will be held in Colombo, Guwahati, and Indore.
