Ayodhya — Under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, preparations for Deepotsav 2025 are in full swing, supervised by Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. A comprehensive plan to adorn the entire city with lights and grandeur has been finalized.
Preparations are underway to illuminate Ayodhya's 56 ghats with twinkling lamps. In each block, a 4.5 square feet area is being designated for the lamps, while a 2.5-foot wide pathway will be created for devotees. Approximately 30,000 volunteers will participate in this event.
On the main day of Deepotsav (October 19), the goal is to light over 2.6 million lamps, aiming to set a Guinness World Record.
As part of the event preparations, work on cleaning the ghats, marking areas, supplying lamps, and other arrangements is progressing rapidly.
The Health Department has arranged for 50 reserved beds and ten ambulance stations. Additionally, 15 temporary medical camps will be set up in the fair area.
Another major attraction at this Deepotsav will be drone shows, laser shows, and thematic projection mapping shows, presenting stories from the Ramayana with modern technology.
Furthermore, there are plans to open a wax museum featuring wax statues of prominent characters from the Ramayana.
A 10-minute green fireworks display is also proposed, which will illuminate the night sky with a combination of music and technology.
