Gandhinagar: This year, the Kesariya Garba event, organized on the occasion of Navratri 2025 in Gandhinagar, the capital of Gujarat, saluted the indomitable courage and valor of the Indian Army. On the eighth day of Garba, during the Maha Aarti, a spectacular image of ‘Operation Sindoor’ was created using thousands of lit lamps. ICC Chairman Jay Shah was also present at this unique celebration and highly praised the magnificent event.

Operation Sindoor Written with Lamps

This year, the Kesariya Garba in Gandhinagar witnessed a magnificent blend of devotion to Maa Durga and the valor of the Indian Army. During the Maha Aarti, the shape of Operation Sindoor was etched with the light of lamps, for which thousands of people gathered in the field. Drone cameras captured the entire scene, leading to the rapid virality of the event on social media.

According to Sahay Foundation, the Garba organizers, the image created with the light of lamps vividly depicted the bravery and might of Operation Sindoor. The glow of thousands of lamps seemed to showcase the army's strength and courage on a battlefield. This event presented a unique fusion of religious and national sentiments.

Saluting the Army During Maha Aarti

The organizers of Kesariya Garba stated that this year's event was special because it commemorated the valor of the Indian Army following the Pahalgam terrorist attack. During the Maha Aarti, the army was saluted by writing 'Operation Sindoor' with the formation of lamps. This initiative was accomplished under the inspiration and presence of the state's Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel and Union Home Minister Amit Shah's son, Jay Shah.

On this occasion, the organizers mentioned that the objective of saluting 'Operation Sindoor' was not only to recognize the bravery of the army but also to increase patriotism and awareness towards security among the youth and the general public. This form of Garba gave a new identity to the Navratri festival.

Kesariya Garba Achieves Global Record

On the eighth day of Kesariya Garba 2025, the Maha Aarti was recorded in the Global Excellence Book of Records. The enormous and vivid image created by thousands of lamps showcased the bravery of the Indian Army and the courage of Operation Sindoor worldwide. According to the organizers, this Garba became a symbol not only of cultural but also of national pride.

Videos and photographs are rapidly going viral on social media. Thousands of devotees present at the venue enjoyed the glow of the lamps and the grandeur of the Garba. Organizer Ritaben Patel stated that such events are a unique medium to convey the feeling of patriotism to every person.

Sahay Foundation and the Garba organizers stated that the objective of the Garba is not merely to celebrate Navratri but to present it as a medium for national consciousness and respect for the army.
