NMMS Haryana 2025: The application process for the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) examination has commenced in Haryana. This examination presents a golden opportunity for meritorious students who face obstacles in pursuing further education due to their weak financial condition. The objective of this scholarship scheme is to sustain the education of students by providing them with financial assistance.
What is the NMMS Exam and its Objective
The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship (NMMS) is a significant scheme run by the Central Government. Under this scheme, students studying in Class 8 with limited family income are selected. Selected students are provided a scholarship of ₹1000 per month from Class 9 to Class 12.
The aim of this scheme is to ensure the continuity of education. Often, meritorious students drop out of their studies midway due to financial constraints. The NMMS scheme not only motivates such students to continue their studies but also instills confidence in them to move forward.
