Total Sales Also Saw Growth

Maruti Suzuki sold a total of 1,89,665 units in September 2025. In the same month last year, total sales stood at 1,84,727 units. This means the company sold approximately 5,000 more units this time, recording a 3 percent year-on-year growth. This includes domestic sales of 1,35,711 units, along with exports of 42,204 units.

Impact of Festive Season and GST 2.0

The company states that the onset of the festive season this year, coupled with GST 2.0, has boosted customer enthusiasm. During the first eight days of Navratri alone, the company delivered 1.65 lakh cars, setting an all-time record. This directly impacted sales figures, leading to an increase in sales for the month of September.

Category-wise Performance

Maruti's range of mini and compact cars, including Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, and Swift, were the most popular this month. In this segment, a total of 74,090 units were sold in September 2025, compared to 70,843 units in the same period last year. This indicates excellent growth for the company in this segment.

The company's models in the SUV and MUV segment include Brezza, Invicta, Ertiga, Jimny, and the new Victoris. However, a slight decline was recorded in this category. Sales in this segment amounted to 48,695 units in September 2025, whereas last year the figure was 61,549 units.

Sales of the Eeco van and the light commercial vehicle Super Carry also saw a decline. Eeco sales in September 2025 were 10,035 units, while Super Carry sales were 2,891 units, both lower than the previous year.

New Heights in Exports

Maruti Suzuki also broke records in terms of exports this time. In September 2025, 42,204 units were exported, compared to only 27,728 units in September 2024. This represents a 51 percent year-on-year increase in exports. This figure has become the company's highest-ever monthly export record.

The company believes that increased global demand and b customer response in international markets have played a significant role in this success. Maruti Suzuki vehicles are particularly popular among customers in Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asian countries.

Maruti's Growing Sales

Maruti stated that the main reason for the increase in sales and exports this year is the adoption of a new strategy, driven by a suitable product portfolio and an understanding of evolving customer needs. The company anticipates further growth in both domestic and international markets in the coming months, propelled by new launches and increased production capacity.
