Video of Nandi's Brutal Killing Goes Viral
The incident occurred on Wednesday in the Bawari locality, where a wedding ceremony was underway. The Nandi entered the ceremony tent, and some people present there were also injured. During this, an angry vehicle driver chased the bull and repeatedly hit it three times, resulting in its death.
The video of the incident quickly went viral on social media. The video clearly shows the accused vehicle driving over the bull's neck. This cruel incident caused a sensation throughout the entire area and sparked immense outrage among the people.
Cow Devotees Protest and File Report at Police Station
Upon learning of the incident, a large number of cow devotees arrived at the scene. The agitated crowd placed the bull's body in front of the Nechhwa police station in Sikar and chanted slogans vigorously. They stated that such an act has hurt religious sentiments and that the culprits must be punished.
Saint Mahaveer Jati of Shivamath Gadoda filed a report at the police station against Premchand Bawari, Shivraj, and others. He demanded that officials take strict action against the culprits. Protesters also stated that such acts hurt communal and religious sentiments in society.
Sikar Police Arrest Accused
Sikar Police took the incident seriously and registered a case under the Rajasthan Bovine Animal Slaughter Prohibition Act. Superintendent of Police Praveen Nayak Nunawat stated that one accused has been arrested. Additionally, the vehicle used in the crime has also been seized.
Officials said that the search for the remaining accused is ongoing. Police have formed several teams and are conducting raids. They appealed to local residents to remain calm and allow the law to take its course. Police also advised against paying attention to rumors spreading on social media.
Public Meeting and Protest Against Nandi's Killing on Vijayadashami
The brutal killing of the Nandi has caused immense outrage in the area. Cow devotee organizations and local residents have announced a public meeting and protest today, on Vijayadashami. They assert that the culprits must receive severe punishment to prevent such incidents in the future.
Local people and religious organizations are also appealing to the government and administration on this occasion to implement stricter laws against animal slaughter. Their message is that respecting religious sentiments is a societal responsibility, and such acts will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
