Sultanpur, UP – A firing incident in the Kadipur area has shaken the district. In a heated encounter between the police and criminals, two accused individuals have been arrested, while three youths sustained gunshot wounds. The incident came to light around 9 PM when local residents reported loud noises and firing.
SP Kunwar Anupam Singh stated that upon receiving information, police forces reached the scene. He added that when the police called for surrender, the accused resisted and began firing at the police personnel. In retaliatory action, both were shot in the leg and immediately apprehended.
The two accused have been identified as Ankit Singh and Rahul Rajput. Police reported that both were taken into custody after receiving medical treatment. Meanwhile, the three youths who sustained gunshot wounds are undergoing treatment.
According to SP Kunwar Anupam Singh, an FIR had already been registered, and the team surrounded the individuals through continuous raids. He added that the police fired in self-defense.
