Pawan Singh Meets Amit Shah, Signals NDA Return for Bihar Elections 2025 Boost

Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh met Amit Shah and Upendra Kushwaha in Delhi. His return to the NDA is expected to boost the vote bank in the Bihar elections. New voters have also been added in Patna and other districts.

Bihar Elections 2025: Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, discussions about Bhojpuri superstar Pawan Singh have intensified in political circles. Recently, Pawan Singh held two significant meetings in Delhi, which included Union Home Minister Amit Shah and RLSP President Upendra Kushwaha. Following these meetings, Pawan Singh's return to politics and his demand have suddenly increased.

Pawan Singh's Delhi Meetings

Pawan Singh first met Upendra Kushwaha and sought his blessings. After that, he met Union Home Minister Amit Shah for approximately 30 minutes. On this occasion, Pawan Singh presented Shah with a gamchha. Following this, he also met BJP President JP Nadda.

Pawan Singh shared pictures of these meetings on social media, writing that seeing these photos would make the hearts of those who foster caste-based politics burn with jealousy. He stated that those who dream of a developed Bihar cannot stay away from each other.

Why has Pawan Singh's Demand Increased?

Pawan Singh is very popular among youth and voters in Bihar. In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, he contested from the Karakat seat and secured a significant number of votes despite being an independent candidate. During that time, tension was also observed between the supporters of Pawan Singh and Upendra Kushwaha.

This time, these grievances have been resolved before the elections. Pawan Singh's return to the NDA is expected to benefit the BJP in 24-25 assembly seats in Shahabad and Dehri-on-Sone. His star power is projected to increase votes by 3 to 4 percent, which could play a crucial role in determining victory or defeat.

Pawan Singh's Vote Bank and Electoral Impact

Pawan Singh belongs to the Rajput community. Because of this, his strategy to attract the Rajput vote bank could prove beneficial for the BJP. If Pawan Singh contests the assembly elections from Ara, his influence could be seen in Ara and nearly two dozen surrounding seats. These include Bhojpur, Buxar, Rohtas, and Kaimur.

Being a superstar of Bhojpuri films, Pawan Singh can attract youth towards him. Political experts believe that his return to the NDA has given a new turn to the politics of the Bihar elections.

Opposition's Reaction

Tej Pratap Yadav, son of RJD chief Lalu Yadav and expelled from the party, taunted Pawan Singh. He said that Pawan Singh had previously fallen at someone's feet in Lucknow and is now falling at someone else's. He stated that Pawan Singh should focus on his art, not electoral politics.
